Pics taken sporadically throughout the last 7 days or so.
The weather has been a real mix, although the temperatures have reduced a lot in the last week.
I do love the colour this season brings. All the foliage is uplifting and so vivid in places.
My acers, are, unfortunately not so good this year. I do have 2, still in their green jackets. I imagine they will change colour at the drop of a hat this coming week.

Small woodland outside Kirton Lindsey.

Bigby village.

Somerby Top, didn’t have time to take a pic of the pumpkin field :-(

Looking out towards the Humber estuary.

South Ferriby.

Hibaldstow.

Pink Nerines.

Sedum

Pondside, South Ferriby.

Love these autumn colours!!!

Opposite our village pub.

Just a few things from my garden.

Wonderful Kate. Thank you for sharing all that colour. Round here things are being a bit slow to turn.

Wow Kate, what selection of autumnal scenes and spectacular colours. Love them all!
I know that pond area at South Ferriby, had a few walks on the Viking Way there over the years..:)
Thank you for taking us on your visits..

I too love all the autumn colours Kate and you have captured all of these wonderfully.
What a lovely job you have going through all the pretty villages.

Thank you, Janey! I knew you'd recognise a few of the places I'd added. I'm happy to hear you like the blog pics! It's such a lovely time of year. We've enjoyed a few mild, sunny days this week. Today is colder, but crisp sunshine and blue skies!

Aw, thank you, Rose! That's very kind, pleased you've liked the pics too! I do have a lovely job, the bonus is travelling around and through some pretty places!

Thank you, Julia! The fairy sign is above the pond at South Ferriby village. The villagers have added lots of signs, insect homes, garden ornaments etc over the years I gather.

Nice photos Kate, very colourful ...
I'm not keen on the autumn myself but your photos are lovely :)

Thanks, Hywel, I'm happy you like the pics.
A wife of a patient really doesn't like autumn or winter. She said she hates the cold and dark nights...plus they have many large trees and the house is partially covered in Virginia Creeper...all the leaf clearing, not a pleasant task!

I like the winter, as long as it doesn't get too frosty lol ...
I sweep the hedgerow leaves from my bottom gateway every morning - it's good exercise :)

The year is certainly turning. I have to say I like the melancholy of autumn (perhaps it suits my natural mood ;-) ) Your pics capture it well, Kate.

Hywel, I think you probably get lots of exercise in your garden! Not just leaf sweeping!
I do like a frosty morning, fresh and clean...especially when I'm wrapped up!

Thank you, Ange, that's kind of you to say. I'm with you, I do like this time of year..the colours are wonderful! I live right on the Humber too ...foggy mornings, 'sea mist' and hearing the foghorn too..melancholic.
Log fires, hot drinks, blankets...lovely!
