Coral Peony

I just wanted to show how this peony fades from a warm pinknsh/coral colour to very beige-y colour. I have 3 peomies in this coral family with a slightly different name and they all do it.

Mine does that too. I've got Hawaiian Coral. It is a feature of this group.

I’m so envious…. Looks gorgeous. Got one given for my birthday back in March and understand they take a while to settle and mine looks very sad. Looking at your lovely peony has reminded me that I need to think again and give it a second chance. I have planted mine in a pot in john innes no 3 compost with its tubers protruding on the surface. Have you any suggestions? Thank you for sharing.

As SBG said: it is a feature of these Coral peonies and I do not mind them to go though the stages of fading (like us) but I know that some people really dislike it.
Thank you all for your comments.

You have to be patient with peonies Amsterdam, They take a while to establish themselves. I am sure that one day they will reward you with beautiful flowers. I waited for some several years before they bloomed.... but I like their foliage as well.

Very nice flowers! Lots of flowers, roses especially, fade as they get older. Some never change, like a red Geranium I have on the balcony, when the petals fall after a few days they are exactly the same colour though so do lose colour as they age & dry out.

Great variation of colour. The third pic showing the flowers’
centre is lovely.

Its beautiful in all three stages, I have a white/pink one but though it has many stems it has only produced one bloom for me this year.....

I got some which produced only 1 or 2 flower too Lincslass.
Peonies can be very "temperamental"
Thanks for your comment.

I'm thankful its taken in my garden Klahanie, I had a beautiful red one for years, in fact it was here when we moved in, lost it during a very bad winter a few years back and I cannot get another red to survive , I keep trying....

I wanted to save the bottom image to my photo album, but wasn’t able to. Still, that’s ok, it’s your photo after all. I just love the detailed centre.

Feverfew, if you right click on the photo then the menu comes up and you just click "save image". I have to be careful and notice where it saves it to. Usually to " My pictures" directory but not always. Sometimes to the directory I was last in. You are welcome to any of my picture images.

Thank you for this instruction but I don’t have a computer, only an IPad . Images are saved by just pressing on the image. I tried a few other things but no luck. It doesn’t really matter, I can enjoy your pics on GoY at any time, Ty.
