Cacti

Lots of changes going on over here on this side of the “Big Pond” (quoting my nephew who is currently serving in Afghanastan)

Due to the economic recession this past June I was wondering if I had a job or didn’t I have a job. Finally state budget was passed and I knew I still had a job for another year. But was expecting this concern to return yearly at budget time. Sooo….When the County was offering a Voluntary Seperation Package, I started job hunting.

I will be starting my new postition next week. (the county paid me to leave and the new job pays more…win win for me)

Yesterday the farewell party occured in which I received a $25 gift card from Home Depot (a do it yourself store) So today I went to utilize the card.

I bought some of these…

And one of those…

I then mixed them together and got this…

Finished with some tid bits on top and brought it into the house…

I think my former co-workers bought me a very nice cacti planter!

Don’t you?

Kris

I'm a registered nurse...I'm going from giving shots, doing STD exams and following up on communicable diseases to working at a Federal subsidized health clinic(Doctors office). Where I will do a lot of the above and a whole lot more. I'm looking forward to starting the new position.

Nice one Kris, good luck with the new job and sending prayers for the safe return of your nephew. He's doing one hell of a dirty job and he deserves a medal just for going.
