A Walk in the Woods

I`ve been hard at in the garden but there isn`t really anything that would make a good photo at the moment. Last week I got the bubble wrap out of the loft and lined the greenhouse as best as possible. Being polycarbonate ( How I wish I`d spent a bit more and bought glass instead…sigh) it doesn`t have many places where the bubble wrap can be attached, however, after a bit of huffing and puffing and a few clothes pegs the job was done. I`ve not bothered to do it before so I hope it will make that bit of difference to my over wintering plants. Just a few more pots to insulate and then I`m ready for whatever Winter has to throw at us..though I`m hoping it won`t be as bad as the previous two years.

Last week I had my six year old grandson Roman to stay until Thursday so gardening was put on the back burner. Jim and I love having him to stay and made the most of his stay, though one day we had lunch at a garden centre where they often get new varieties of Heucheras…well you know me, I succumbed of course…lol!

This morning Jim took Perry for a walk in Black Park and took my camera with him…..

These logs have been `harvested` from the forest and will be sold. One of the rangers told Jim the logs used to fetch a very good price but now the price has fallen dramatically.
