Wedding Photo and Gardening Stuff

Well my son`s wedding went according to plan and even though we didn`t attend the ceremony in Brazil, it almost felt like it. After Daniel and Thayna were married he called the house and asked me to go online and sign in to MSM which we did. We spent the next hour talking to the newly weds and Dan`s new in-laws and extended family and friends. Of course we don`t speak Portuguese and they don`t speak English but with Dan and Thayna`s help we got by. The excellent news is that Thayna`s visa to come here was issued on Friday and she`ll arrive here on November 4th, Dan can`t wait, it was really hard for him to leave her behind when he came home. He`s a photo of the happy couple.

There have been so many Greenfinches in my garden of late, in fact they are eating me out of house and home. On Tuesday when I took this there were at least ten of them squabbling and squawking for places on the feeders, they were making a right racket!

This fat Woodpigeon was getting his food delivered straight from the feeders where the Greenfinches were spilling as much food as they were eating.

I only just managed to get a photo of this black tom cat sitting on the shed in the garden behind ours. I don`t know who owns him or if he has an owner at all but he`s absolutly. He terrorises all the local cats including sweet little Willow who lives next door. Willow is also a tom but with far nicer manners than Black Cat, even Perry our labrador is afraid of him! Once he tried to chase him but he held his ground and hissed at poor Perry who, obviously very confused, turned and ran back into the house…lol!

I planted this baby Heuchera `marmalade` this afternoon. I grew it from an offset from the original I have in a border. I wanted something, another Heuchera to be exact, to fill the gap left by `Georgia Peach`. It was lovely last year but this summer if failed to thrive and I doubt it would last the winter so I`ve dug it up, put it in a pot and it can stay in the greenhouse until the weather warms up again.

Coreopsis `Moonbeam`I bought this the other day from work. I fell in love with when a customer bought one and I just had to have it. Its lemon coloured flowers are on wiry stems and apparently its very hardy and flowers from June until autumn which sounds perfect and excellent value for money too.

Congratulations to Dan and Thayna :o)

That cat looks as if he means business. Maybe he's a ferral cat. I would keep Perry away from him. My old cat Fluffy used to terrorise dogs. I've seen a great dane tremble at her growls lol
That Coreopsis is lovely. I don't go much for yellow, but that's a very gentle shade

How lovely that you were able to 'speak' to your son and his new wife on their wedding day ... thank goodness for technology sometimes! You have two things in your garden to make me envious, Sandra! Greenfinches never come into my garden ... and I can't grow Coreopsis at all ... even a pricey one from Hampton Court gave up the ghost! ... :o(
As for that black cat ... he looks evil! . . . . .
