Busy Bees

Busy time isn`t it, I`ve finished putting my Toms in and have 2 of each variety spare…
I put the cucumbers into large containers,I find they do better in the tubs rather than growbags…
Pricked out some Marigolds whilst keeping my ears and eyes on red alert because I was joined by a little friend…
In the garden I really do not mind but I admit I was very wary about working in there, in the end the bee won, I`ve left the marigolds for another day. lol…….
Normally a lot of my bedding plants are outside on my stands by now but we are still having a lot of frosty nights here so I still have them in the greenhouses…
I know theres a lot but I`m growing for my daughter and dad as well.
I spent the afternoon helping my daughter in her garden, I really didn`t mind as she has rewarded me by giving me some strawberry plants, anyway I`m happy gardening anywhere.
Whilst there we turned over one of her compost bins ,much to the delight of her resident blackbird……..

You have been busy in the greenhouse. Like you I`m waiting for the weather to improve before I can plant anything out, usually my bedding plants are outside but this year everything is on hold.

Lovely load of plants in your greenhouse, LL! Gerry & I put up the frame of a greenhouse on the allotment on Monday. Hope next year it'll be as full as yours!
Like Arlene, I'm not bothered by bees. I don't mind them around me in the balcony, I have so many plants that I get lots of them, different species as well! I know they won't sting me & I try to stay out of their way. I taught our granddaughter to say "bumble bee" last summer! She was only 2 years old then.

~you have been busy, and hopefully you will have some super crops as a reward.
I am not worried by bees anymore as I have had to rescue so many from my greenhouses, particularly the plastics as they seem to get stuck in the top. They will only sting you as a last resort of if they are angry at having a nest disturbed.
