Sunshine and Flowers.

Its a lovely sunny day but gosh its cold so the only thing to do is take a few photo`s and admire through the windows.
As you can see the flowers in the patio walls are still hanging on, I keep deadheading them, my bulbs I leave in and only thin them out when neccessary, I`ve already added some pansies in the gaps and still have plenty more growing in my greenhouse to be added when my marigolds really have ended.Nerines flowering well this year.
Lots of colour still..
Pleased to say I have made a start on replanting my baskets.
pots as well.
The only Dahlia I have this year but she is lovely, lots of blooms. Must not forget the roses. I do like my grasses. That pot stands near my front door and is also under planted with bulbs for the springtime…..
As I said its sunny but cold, so think I`ll take a stroll down the retail park to treat myself to some more Heathers , I can pot them up in the greenhouse and watch the birds at the same time, lol…..- 20 Oct, 2010

It's been sunny and cold here aswell. I'm glad you have been able to do so much in the garden. I do hope you got some heathers. I like them for the winter.

It's freezing here as well, I think the whole country is suffering the same. Brrrrrrr.
Your garden is beautiful and looks fantastic.

Your garden is still blooming lovely.:-)) Lincslass.
I have to do some last de-potting today despite the cold hitting us here in Lincoln too.
Shall use the depotted compost for mulch, but can't bear the idea of washing and disinfecting the pots on a day like this. Have no greenhouse, only a covered side entrance through which the wind blows merrily.
May be able to take some pics today, maybe not. Am awaiting the birth of my first great, grandchild, now overdue, and am feeling anxious for its poor Mother who is like a beached whale. Keep sending suggestions which she is probably ignoring. Feel that a short brisk walk might do the trick, but being a natural couch potato, she is even worse at the moment.
Probably start at 2 a.m. like all mine did!

I know what you mean Felin, I still haven`t washed the tomato circles and they have been waiting for over a week.
Very busy here at the moment as youngest daughter moved house yesterday, everyones helping unpack boxes, fast as one gets emptied another appears, lol, Luckily only around the corner so I`m backwards and forwards, grandchildren sleeping here for a couple of days as well as 2 kittens and 2 guinea pigs..
Lovely garden so daughter is delighted .
Hope all goes well with new baby and dont forget to let us know.........
