Middle of last week, the powers that be announced that we are officially in a drought area, now that doesn`t mean we are having a heatwave, far from it, I think we can count our hot days so far this year on one hand and the fairly nice ones on two if we`re lucky, they should have kept their mouths shut, its chucking it down and very cold, even when we had our hot day, the 14th, it still turned cold in the evening.
What happened to those nights when it was too hot to be indoors even after dark?? , I`m sure I didn`t dream them, its nearly midsummers day and to sit outside now one needs a jacket or pretend one is warm.
Its not just me getting old even my youngsters are complaining and saying Mum remember when it was warm in the summer.
Did I dream them??.

LOL We have not got the rain here in Gainsborough yet Lincslass, I am hoping for it though, you are correct, the days are not that warm here either, but I am not complaining because I cannot stand it when it gets too hot BUT a little warmer would be a good thing. We have to put our jackets on of an evening also, not good for sitting out in the garden my feet turn blue and it is supposed to be summer next week.

I'm with you Linclass not one evening so far seating in my new alfresco eating area!!!!!!!! Pleased with some rain but the cold with it and the wind .........bring on the real summer and my kids agree with me so it's not an age thing:)

Yes Terra, so is mine, the lawn has greened up now but I used to sit under my gazebo, in the warm, thinking how refreshing it was when it rained, even after dark, I just yearn for those days....
OH, haven`t a clue how I got the italics, it was magic,lol...

We up here have been sick of the rain, we've had it everyday since end April except Tuesday thats just gone, then we was suppose to get it again from Wednesday, but touch wood its rained in the night, but its quite cold here aswell, not being nasty but now you lot are getting all the rain, pleased dont sent it up here, we've had our share.
