Gorgeous weather, gardening time again..

Shorts and suntop weather, shopping and housework sorted by 10am so outside I went, hubby arrived home from work just as I got started so had to have a chat and cuppa first, good job really as I needed his help to move the trailer, I cut the front hedge, then I spent a while weeding our driveway and having a tidy across the borders, as its mainly parking area that doesn`t take long.
Cuppa with hubby again, bless him, he doesn`t like the heat and it was hot outside, then its out the back to start again, owing to our lack of rain I`ve been leaving my lawns for two weeks, I do trim the edges weekly but I much prefer a green lawn even if it is a bit longer, I did however get sidetracked, our bottom area is very shady, partly due to our weeping willow, it was hanging too low over the bottom pond so I decided to give it a slight trim, luckily I have one of those long extendable pruners, I think its brilliant, ok one doesn`t use it often but it makes tree pruning a lot easier, also I can keep my feet on the ground, its surprising how much light I`ve let in just by removing only three branches and the fronds, when my bin has been emptied I`ll remove some from the other side…
After cutting the rubbish up and not having enough room in my bin, hubby now has two extra bags added to the trailer, lol.
Pleased with the look of my tree it was back to the lawnmower and the job I originally started, at least the mower also picked up the leafy mess I`d made.
Halfway through I had to stop and cook dinner, didn`t want him indoors keeling over, he gets grumpy when his tummy rumbles and he likes to be in bed by 6pm, can`t send him to bed on a full tum, lol.
I still finished my lawns by 5.30 not a bad days work…
Look who checked to make sure I`d done it correctly.
Well after all that lot I figured I deserved a bit of me time with my camera….

I agree, husbands with rumbly tummies get very grumpy. Best to drop everything and see to them. My hubbie is a great one for watching and now the cheeky monkey stands and admires my hard work, as if he has done it all.
I need a brew now.
Your garden looks fab.

Your garden looks lovely Lincslass, so neat and tidy too. I find that as long as the lawn (erm grass in my case) is cut and the edges trimmed, then the whole garden looks so much better. I think you deserved all those cuppas!

Thanks all, Lily its an illusion, lol, mine is also grass and if you were to see it at close quarters, you`d realise how badly it needs treatment, a job I cannot do at the moment because of lack of rain, I keep transplanting grass into the patches made by Brynner and Morgan and leaving grass cuttings on areas on the bottom lawn and it seems to be helping a bit..
Sorry Nan`d I haven`t a clue, planted long before I started keeping my records.
Sk I love it and don`t class my garden as work, thats housework and suchlike,lol...
