First cut of the year, now I can see my flowers....

Unlike me my lawns loved the recent weather, I don’t cut as often as I used to as the naughty terriers dislike staying in the dog run and bark if I’m not outside with them, in the last week I swear I could actually see the grass growing but I couldn’t get out there with the mower, today I ignored housework,(as you do when the gardens are calling) although I didn’t get the edging sorted I have had my trusty mower out, feeling pleased with myself….
Well thats answered that, I’ve tried to add photo’s but its a no can do, been at it for over an hour folks…..

We'd love to cut the grass but it's far too wet. OH is keen to start.
Sorry you're having problems with pics. A gardening site with no photos - that's different!!

Seaburn it was driving me mental, I have some lovely flowers opening up now but the state of the lawns was the first thing I was noticing, I just had to do it....

i know Anget but at least I can show them on my gardening sites on FB, my only worry really is if goy goes completely, how much we are all losing, I wish I was clever enough to copy it all, I know its against the rules but frankly I wouldn't care about that, I would do it and hang the consequences, didn't know enough when I started to copy all my blogs, in fact it was being on here and the people that taught me how to use a computer really...

Our main lawn is still wet through from the last lot of rain!
I am hoping the wind we are getting now is going to dry it out!
I am successfully at the moment getting photos on at 5m Sue.
Have you reduced your photos?
Hopefully now Dave has someone to help him, it might get back to normal! Well.. that's the plan! Haha!

It was wet Rose but not as bad as I expected, didn't clog my mower..
The size I'm afraid wasn't the problem, tried downsizing as I've been doing for a long time, tried two browsers and both said there was no gateway, Firefox even said its unsafe, I know people have queried that in the past, its not just on my blog, there are a lot of others members blogs whereby I cannot see any photo's now and yet I know they have been there on other days...

It’s too wet here, Sue. We’ve almost replaced our little lawn in the back with new turf..it’ll be a wee while before we mow.
I do usually get the lawnmower out early too…hate to see it long. I think it looks ropey here as our patch is small.

Ours looks a mess too but is too wet at the moment. Forecast is good for the next three days so I
might be able to cut it.
Pleased you have managed to do yours as it does make a huge difference to how everywhere looks.

I'm glad you were able to mow the grass. I don't blame the dogs, grass is much nicer to walk on than cement :)

Our patch of "lawn" (just grass really) is still awaiting the visit of the gardeners (from the council) with their big mowers! Often it's a ride-on one.
I was looking at it yesterday from the window in the balcony door as the wind blew over it, being as it's long after a mild winter, the gusts of wind make the grass look like waves of the sea! It almost looks like a green sea out there! 😂

I daren't tell hubby you've cut your grass as he is itching to do ours. I keep putting him off to allow clover to flower. haha.
