Sweden at Christmas

Now that we finally have our computer fixed I can show you our Christmas in Sweden. It was wonderful.
We started by meeting Santa Claus at our friend’s woodland hut. Her friends and family met up and the children were taken round the field on his buggy by this wonderful horse. This is a very old breed used by the Vikings.
The hut has a living roof.
We went many walks and a vegetarian Christmas dinner.

I'm glad you enjoyed your Christmas in Sweden and saw Santa, great to see the photos too :) It looks cold there but it seems nice and cosy inside that cabin :)

I see Santa stayed for dinner too! Lovely! You didn't get a lot of snow. Thats a pity...Rachel honeymooned in northern Norway and they had heavy rain leading to activities being cancelled. I don’t like this new climate one bit. But what can we do? Its either too hot or its too wet and wild. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere that still has a good climate! Compared to most places we are getting off lightly in spite of all the terrible floods the UK had this summer. Ach, its a sair fecht :( At least you are still smiling! Xx

They are beautiful horses. They use them for moving logs today.
Sweden normally has snow at this time of year. It makes working in the forests difficult with large machines. They get stuck in the wet ground where normally it would be frozen hard.
The wind is not good here, Karen. I haven’t been over the doorstep.
You are right though Karen. Looking at Australia on the news makes you glad you are in the UK.

I love the horse, it looks very sturdy. I feel I want to give it a hug. The trees look lovely too with the rime of frost. Glad that you had a lovely time.
