At the veg plot today.

Barbara and I had another productive day at the veg plot. The potatoes are coming on well and the peas and runner beans have appeared. We put in more beetroot, Pac Choi and fennel.
Her garden is a wonderful place. Pete, her husband, who died a few years ago planted unusual trees and shrubs while Barbara loves colourful plants and flowers.

Another lovely mature, interesting garden Linda...like yours in many ways...even similar stone steps! Your vegetables are looking great. My potatoes and peas are also up now, but my veg beds are tiny in comparison. You'll have enough there to keep you going for a long time. :)

I agree, it looks incredibly neat and tidy. Don't remember seeing pics of the gardenbefore - it looks so attractive and restful, but must take a lot of looking after - good thing you two are on the job!

What a super vegetable patch, so neat, so tidy and I imagine so productive.

The straight lines makes weeding easier, Hywel.
Barbara’s garden is great but really too big for her.It needs both of us to maintain the veg plot. It is all new to me but I like it all neat and tidy Stera.
I always think my garden is about shape and form and Barbara’s is about colour, Karen.
This is our third season, Siris. I love growing our own veg.

This garden has so much character and it must be a wonderful place to explore.
The vegetable patch is beautifully maintained and is doing so well.
Well done both of you.

Your garden has a very relaxed & casual feel which I enjoy. Nice Japanese Maple & colorful plants all throughout.

Both gardens are beautiful & compliment each other.
All allotments seem to be especially tidy at the moment as people are saying that they have nothing else to do!

Thanks for updating and sharing, Linda. Lovely blog.
Beautiful pics! The acers are fantastic specimens. The meandering pathway, the shady planting area, the raised stonewall area, the ? Espaliered tall tree, the stepped area...all of it. I really love it.

I always say I don't like things in straight rows but a well kept vegetable garden does look nice,
and it's also easier to look after.
Lovely views too :)
