Tulips or Crocuses?

My sister was in her garden with her little grandson." Are those tulips?" he asked. “No they are crocuses, they are a similar shape but smaller”, she replied. Later in the day they passed a neighbour working in her garden. “Those flowers are crocuses”, he told her," (my sister smiled proudly), ‘but when the grow up they’ll be tulips."

a young friend of mine pulled a bean plant up when questioned why-- well I wanted to see what was under there--- what can you say.....
