Hi everyone, I’ve just been in the shed sorting out the plastic containers that I’ve saved from my grapes and last years plastic 6 pots. Planted cosmos, cornflowers, French marigolds (seeds saved from last year.) and sprinkled poppy seeds round the garden. If too many grow I thin them out. Gerry has put in the carrot seeds in the garden, and planted peas in containers in the greenhouse. It feels good to get things going again. Take care Linda x

yes I have been doing similar today. I have also been trying to get couch grass out of a big border.

I'm itching to get on with seed sowing, but have only managed a few sweet peas so far! You are far better organised than me, Linda.

I started a lot earlier with my seed sowing as I keep them in the warm conservatory.
I love this time of year when everything is waking up, but saying that, some didn't even go to sleep!

I've been to a GC today with my daughter, now have a bag of new compost so I can make a start as well, however its absolutely pouring down, so two new plants are sitting on the patio table with compost close by, haven't even ventured down to the g'house, I'd honestly need my wellies to get across the yard...

I love being in the greenhouse with a packet of seeds to sow! It is so satisfying!

Hi everyone, it sounds as though we are all of the same mind with the sowing thoughts. It was a dull and miserable day yesterday, but this morning the sun's out and it looks as though it's going to get quite warm over the next few days. I'm asking Gerry to plant the pink peony and white lilies today. Good you have your compost at the ready now Linsclass.
I love sweetpeas, a super plant to grow and the cut flowers smell lovely Anget.
The conservatory is a good place to get seeds germinating Rose. We use our conservatory to keep tender plants over the winter.
You're right Wildrose, gardening is so relaxing, and knowing those little seeds are going to grow is great.
SBG, couch grass is a menace to get rid of with those underground roots. I wish you every success.
Have a good day everyone...Linda x
