Yes more plants are flowering – I have posted pics of my new arrivals to the general colour scheme of the garden.
The white magnolia has been in bud for ages and now is a cloud of white petals
Aubretia in a trough
A Periwinkle cutting brought back from Wales is flowering for the first time
The Redcurrant is really maturing now, but I don’t seem to have much luck with Forsythia – a replacement is needed again this year! Two small Camellias have not made it – fingers crossed for the Acers – I think they are OK – I can see tiny green shoots.Any tips for growing on this little chap would be appreciated – bought from Malvern Show last year – the following pic is the sister plant on the Stand !
Exciting find in a large pot – these polyanthus have seeded and have produced tiny plantlets – when they grow a little bigger I shall pot them up – they are the old fashioned variety as in the pic below
My white poppies and miniature buddlea have arrived and have been potted up – and the greenhouse seems to be coming onThe peony is looking good – this one is a gorgeous double pink
So now off out into the greenhouse – this morning I have transplanted my Lobelia seedlings – a bit fiddly but well worth it – I truly love this time of year – I never have a plan I just go out into the garden and chill- 27 Mar, 2012

i have a himalayan poppy, it has survived two winters so far, the leaves are there but i cant see a bud yet this year, i keep mine in the shade, the soil is slightly acidic. karensusan grows them successfully, she might be the best one to ask.
