Mickey the story so far

Mickey is a Scarecrow

Mickey was created by OH for a local country show at Burwarton in Shropshire – to enter the scarecrow trail for charity.

He didn’t win but then Mickey became Minnie and entered the Shrewsbury Flower Show and took third prize in the Scarecrow class.

Guess what Minnie alias Mickey is now enjoying semi retirement down at the allotment doing what scarecrows do best!

Minnies designer car boot outfit is looking a little faded – so a visit back to the boot is on the agenda

Just adding a few pics from our daily walk and the garden

Visitors from last year

The Japonica is really beginning to mature

A favourite primrose

The white magnolia is just waiting to burst open

Bargain of the week – £1.74 a pack of six from the local garden centre – they only needed a bit of dead heading and a drink of water!

The palm is out at the bottom of the garden – I hope to get a butterfly or bee pic to post soon – it is just bursting with pollen

Mist and murk on our walk this morning but even so – very refreshing

We made our way along the pathways through the fields and then back for coffee and a gravy bone Happy Gardening

Hi Marigold.

Nice to meet Mickey and Minnie.

Your flowers are pretty, and that looks to be a scenic walk.

Gravy bone biscuit ? for you or for the dog ? ;o) Lol.

Great scarecrows! Good to see plants coming to life, isn't it? Those are my favourite primroses, too.
You've got lovely country side around you for walking the dog.
