Freddie Sunbathing

Poor Freddie must be suffering, as we all are in this freezing weather. I spotted him 2 gardens away this morning curled up by the fencce in the sun

There he was all curled up sleeping soundly, but of course the sun moves doesnt it…….

Poor Freddie ….he must have felt the temperature difference…..so up he gets and wanders back to the middle of my neighbours lawn. Back in full sun

Only goes to prove that longing for a bit of sunshine………..is not just related to us humans……

Ha ha. Good old Freddie. Very smart to stay in the sunshine. He reminds me of the dogs on the farm where I used to live. The temperature could be -25C and they would all be laying in the middle of the frozen driveway on their backs, feet in the air, soaking up the sun. In fact, the oldest dog, a border collie, used to go and drag his blanket out of the kennel into the driveway and lay on that. Smart cookie!!

He's very tame isn't he, I wasnt aware they were around in the day time. I've seen them in the distance in the field behind us quite early in the morning - as if returning from a late night out, lol.

Good pictures Milky, foxes have become very tame, you could go out for a walk and see several on a summers evening, not the slightest bit afraid of us humans, we had one walk through the garden the other morning, they and the badger visit the garden every night have made a run for themselves through our rose garden!! given up trying to persuade them to walk elsewhere.....

Poor Freddy obviously needs a blanket or two! I wonder where he goes at night? Have you tried to follow him, Maureen? Great photos.

It does seem a bit strange that he's out in the open... I hope he's OK. Is he just a cub? He looks quite small. Very good photos - well done, you!

Thankyou all for your comments and your cares and worries for Freddie. Believe me he is very wary of people, and I think he knows that I and the old lady next door are the only people around during the day, as everyone else at work. We never seem to see him at weekends when people are about. I know that a lot of people dont like foxes. because they are destructive and smelly, and killing machines if allowed to be...but..............I love to see my Freddie and I do watch out for him every day. Not always to give him tit bits, he has got to look out for himself after all, but also because I have noticed he has an injured front leg and is limping badly. I know that we cant do anything.....its nature.....but I can try and watch out for him....... Lol

Freddie's lovely. He looks so tame. He follows the sun like my old cat Fluffy used to do.
