Awesome video!

My wife an I feed all of the local wild birds and have 8 feeders, 3 bird baths, and the backyard landscaping is catered to bird habitat. In the summer we always have 3 humming bird feeders going. I just love the hummers!
This video blew me away! A guy rescued a baby hummer and raised it, thought it to fly and nursed it back to health after it was attacked in the wild. Our local bird watching guru sent this link to my wife today:

Birds in any garden bring joy to our lives, but I cannot imagine the awesome thrill of raising one!
Enjoy! N2O

Lovely!

BTW .... I read your 'profile' and the phrase, "sodding the yard" amused me; it has a completely different connotation in the UK..

One thing that really opened my eyes is the fact that 80% of a hummer's diet is insects and not the sugar that we put in our feeders! I never knew that their beaks could open up like a traditional bird beak. Fascinating!
