Spring has sprung

The clocks went forward so spring is definitely here so I went round the garden with my camera to see what I could find the first thing I noticed was the work of the greater spotted woodpeckers on my line post I hope they found something tasty!
The Daphne is looking colourful and such a lovely scent in the rockery garden
The Anemone blanda in the spinney pushing through the leaves
The primroses on the bank soon to be followed by cowslips
At the back door a bowl of Primulas I planted earlier!
In the field across the drive I hear the new arrivals have made the great outdoors! “baa baa” the little black lamb was camera shy and ran off to find her Mum
This little lamb found her Mum I see. All in all I think you can say Spring has finally Sprung

I turned to a program the other night called how we castrate our lambs, I could nt believe it was allowed to be put on the tv, it was awful, cutting it with a knife then biteing with their teeth and then just chopping their tales off with a knife, no anacetic at all. I have lived on a farm and never have I seen such a thing.
