Brightening the Winter Garden

After all the rain and gales it was nice to see some sunshine this morning so I had a wander around the garden, after picking up yet more twigs and branches that storm Imogen had left strewn around, there were quite a few welcome flowers too.
Clumps of Snowdrops in the hedgerow
Double Snowdrops catching the sunlight
Pale Crocus among the Cyclamen leaves
Iberis Sempervirens about to open on the bank.
There were lots of Primroses out too but they were rather battered by the gales, their delicate flowers looked bedraggled so I didn’t show their faces, all they need is sunshine to perk up once more……just like us!

Thank you Linda you have them to look forward to and they are sure to be a delight :o)
Thank you Hywel it's always a treat to see them, the wind was a nuisance no damage though just lots of twigs and branches down over the garden, kept me busy tidying them up :o)

It gives one a real boost to see the flowers coming into bloom Neellan, thankyou for sharing yours, my Snowdrops have also done me proud this year, they must like all the rain we've been having, the Crocus are looking good and for some strange reason the birds are leaving them alone, they are eating my Primroses instead, lol....my Iberis is also coming into flower, its a great favourite of mine and normally provides me with a lovely white to show up my tulips, this year it will be over and done with come tulip time.....Twigs and branch collection is a must here as well, each time I venture down the garden....

Thank you Lincslass they have certainly had a plenty of rainwater! a primula in a pot by the front door has had every deep pink flower eaten but the crocus are fine here too...odd, there has certainly been more twigs and branches to clear this year - thanks to all those blessed named storms! :o)
Thank you for liking Bathgate :o)
