Bumble Bees

I had read that Bumble bees where on the decline along with Honey Bees… Well if my garden was anything to go by today they are all on holiday in Wales!!
The Aubretia is finally out and on each clump there were at least twelve Bumble Bees fewer Honeys Bees true….. just two or three of those and Butterflies too the Peacock was the most persistant visitor. I tried to photograph them all together but they buzzed and flitted around too much for my inexpert attempts at close ups but lovely to see them and hear them together with the bird song, lambs bleating in the field, the sun shining too it really was a lovely day to be in the garden.

You paint a nice picture Neellan, for me it's the sounds of Spring that's every bit as uplifting as the sight. I like Chopin but there's nothing like the simple sound of a bee on a warm day, it really gives me a buzz.

Lovely blog Neellan. Love the little lamb and vibrant Aubrecia.
This has to be the best time of the year, when all of nature is waking up after the long cold winter sleep. I have seen lots of ladybirds, bees and 1 butterly yesterday when I was out in the garden.

The weather is glorious now. I hope it lasts. Nice to hear you have lots of bees and butterflies in your garden. I hope I see more this year, and ladybirds too. I haven't seen one of those for years.
