Bank Holiday Monday Blues

I just had to get out into the garden to do some work which needed doing. I had a rhododendron which was never going to flower where it was it was in too shady a spot. I sat and wondered and scratched the head for a while and then it came to me – move the pots around and dig a bit more grass out and here is the outcome.

Before:

and now:

It rained a little and tried its best to spoil my fun but I managed to get it sorted and finished and think this little corner spot looks even more lovely than it did before. Hope you agree.

Just need the sun to shine a little bit now and dry up if only to dry the washing on the clothes line. lol :o) I enjoyed my self even though the weather was none so good. Hope you all had a good Bank Holiday wherever and whatever you were up to. B

Thank you Scotkat, glad you had some good weather, bet you're glad to be back home though, even though it is cooler. Phew I do not think I could handle those sorts of temperatures.

All looks lovely Olive, and I think that has improved that little spot. Lets hope the shrub thinks so too and puts out some flowers for you next year.

Thanks Cinders, I hope it grows better now, it was new about 3 years ago and not had a flower yet. Fingers crossed eh!

Not so great up here today - not a Scottish holiday - so no holiday blues :))
Your garden is still looking good. I like doing the garden in the rain so long as it isn't too heavy. I find weeding in the rain very theraputic!
I do hope your Rhoddie enjoys it's new home. I moved on yesterday which was getting too much sun - here's hoping both become gorgeous bloomers :)

That looks great Mum....you're right, it's even better than before. I've been painting in flat all day, again. Still, it was raining, so at least I did something constructive Scott and I have redecorated the whole blooming thing in three days, with a bit of help from Rachel, who steam cleaned the kitchen. We are shattered!

Thank you one and all, it was lovely to pick up all these very nice messages. Much appreciated all of your lovely comments. I will keep you posted on the rhoddies performance or not as the case may be. Thank you all again.

Stroller I do use pellets but there are some holes in the leaves you just cannot see them think it is because it is so big and because it has quite a lot of white in the leaf it just seems to disguise the holes.

It could do today Nariz....I feel like singing oh what a beautiful morning......but that would make it rain!

28 Aug, 2012

lol: thanks Nariz, the washing nearly dried, managed to get it in just in time.

I am a bit like that Pamg my singing makes it rain but it is lovely and sunny out there at the minute which is all good as I am off out to a GC today with my daughter.
