Much too complicated for me. I feel lost with it.
GoY was simple to use and that's why I liked it. Not any more :o(

Good idea Peter. I found that I was reading the same stuff over again and then wondering if I was going to miss a comment that I needed to reply to in case people though I was being rude or forgetting them and I was staying up sooo late and not feeding the children properly and hubby didnt have any clean shirts- so now Ive got time to do all that boring stuff again.........er wait a minute!

Hywel, I'm glad that GoY is back to normal for you. We didn't change anything to fix it but think that we know what happened - not all of the internet is as fast as us :o) but we'll try to prevent it happening again.

I've only been here a week but experimented with the "seen" link to see what it did. I was glad to use it as even being here only a week my homepage was two screens long!

I haven't used the other ink as it is self explanatory &, for the time being at least, I don't want to stop following people's posts.

One thing that has drawn my attention is the H U G E amount of emails this site sends me! It also seems silly to receive emails advising me of the posts I've just made!!!

As I've commented to one or two people here this site really DOES Grow On You! I find myself posting a blog a day & uploading lots of my photos that have lain idle on my computer for years.

I enjoy seeing other's photos & reading their blogs, too. Hugely addictive! :D

iI you are referring to your own private e-mail address, you can opt out of having notifications of comments, etc., sent there. Yes, your own News page will post directions to comments you have made in reply to comments made under a blog, pic, question you have yourself intialised. Meantime, in my own case, I have simply clicked the "stop following" tab, because you will get the comments, etc under your own stuff in your inbox, anyways!

Am glad to see that there are public safety meassures in place outside your home! :-)

Thanks, David, for the tip of turning off email notifications! I did so & now my inbox no longer gets filled up with dozens of GOY emails!
