We know this as the Sensitive plant or the Tickle-Me plant because those fern like leaves close almost instantly when touched and then re-open a few minutes later.

Yes they do Bernieh, and the grandchildren have had some fun with it, but its the 1st time I have got one to flower......They are so pretty Thanks Sanbaz and Irish.....

Dotty it has been outside undeer the shelter of our Lean~to, but I moved it back in the greenhouse because it was in the way of SP mixing the foundations for his fish pond.Pansy and Dawn.....I am really thrilled...after feeling totally worn out over the weekend, this was a lovely surprise this morning.....

Wonder why the leaves close up. Does it do this if it rains? Or is it a relative of the fly catcher plants that closes it's flowers.

They are lovely Rhodea, but they only last a day, and seem to come in 2's and 3's Like little laser looking globes........
