Dotty...I think it can become a shrub if kept in the right conditions. I tried to grow one last year but it never flowered and didnt survive winter in the greenhouse.....This one has been healthy from the word go, but I shall have to wait and see if it overwinters again. I keep the greenhouse to 10 degrees for the frangipani so who knows.....Thanks Pansy and Dawn.....

Strange coincidence but I posted a similar pic a little earlier. I was trying to show off, letting you know that mine was in flower. Oh well! Another failure on my part.

hi what a flower lovely colour how did you grow it ?

11 Nov, 2009

Hi Mickojack........I grew it from seed and then kept it in sheltered spot in the garden...It does like the heat but seemed to survive outside in a pot through the summer. I have now moved the pot back into the greenhouse as I am not sure how hardy they are......Compost is half ericaceous half garden soil and fed with tomorite........
