Thanks Jac and Ob.......yes one of Ian's, it was a packet of mixed Pompoms....so some are tall 3ft and some smaller ones.....lots of pale-pink and lemon ones too. We have them in the shade though, as I didn't have much room anywhere else, so the stems are a bit soft, next year we're planning a re-haul of the sunny side, and I'll make sure ther'es plenty of room......there's two large clumps of Crocosmias to dig out for a start.....!
