Lovely markings on him / her looks like a giant terrapin only ever seen small ones in tanks do they grow large Gee ?

These red-eared ones do, BB. Years ago I can remember tiny ones being sold for about 2/6 (old money!) and then being abandoned when they outgrew the tank. Lots were released into rivers, lakes etc I believe, but like tortoises they need special care.

He he Gee still have the half crowns in my wallet ...we have a friend who has taken in all animals at her own cost and has now got charitable status amazed at what people will buy and abandon .
