I fell in love with these the first time I saw them several years ago Sue. I always have to buy a few every spring, just for the kid in me...lol

I think they are hardy perennials in zones 9-10. I have to treat them as annals here where I live.

Mine too Janey. I've only seen two color selections of the Whirligigs here where I live in the States so far, and I always buy at least one of each...;-). Think there is a solid white one too I'm waiting to find for sale. Keeping my fingers crossed....lol

Thanks Shipscanda1. I finally found another one at a local nursery last week. I thought for a while that I would have to go without one this season, they're an annual where I live .

I love this flower and have to have one! I am in Zone 5 so I know I will have to winter it in the house. Just beautiful.And I absolutely love lizards! One daughter of mine has 2 Tarantulas,a half blind gecko,2 rats and 2 cats. The other has a water dragon and a gecko.

How unusual. Looks like someone carefully handcrafted it!

I love the lizards. What kind do you have? I have Italian Wall lizards in my garden. They perform a valuable service keepings pests at bay, :)
