Iris foetidissima.........for Spritz

Gorgeous colour. I collected some of these from one of our local churchyards but they didn't grow - I wonder what I did wrong?

I love it when it's like this in the pods , trouble here is that the birds set it everywhere and the next year i'm constantly pulling it up .!

Amy, please send your seed-planting birds down here, they are obviously better at it than I am :)

I think they like it here to much Gee , I don't think that I left of the Iris any in the ground , if I do find any I'll let you know ... :o)

Gee.....if you'd like some berries.....let me know....or a piece of the Iris....it is evergreen and has lovely strap-like leaves all winter............

That's kind, Janey, I'd love either. I do have heavy clay soil so hope they don't mind that.

Gee......if you look at my pics you'll see the Iris in flower.....a bit of a weird one, but the berries make up for it....:o)

Found the flowering one, Janey, and as you say, rather strange but not ugly! The berries and the evergreen leaves certainly make up for it anyway :)
