i'v had one of these for about 6 year's but this year the leave's aren't as brilliant & i'v had to cut load's of dead twig's off it & a couple of branche's. i alway's take the top layer of old compost off in the spring & replace it with new & i feed it. was wondering if next door's cat had been spraying on it, it's killed three of my plant's already, damn thing!!!!!!!!! any idea's???

Sorry to hear that Maple, the one in the picture has sailed through with minimum attention never had any problems, but I bought one this year and all the leaves have shrivelled and fallen off, I thought perhaphs it may be due to the harsh winter and the dry season so far this year, sorry i can't be of help but Im sure someone on the site will be able to come up with some suggestions.

i think i may have been drowning it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we're landsaping the garden & i'v had to store it on top of a mound of clay that we've dug up & it's had no drainage. the compost on top was very green. either that or it's had it's day, thanks for replying xxx
