Blue grass

Blue grasses and red seedheads of Sedum contrast quietly in the Autumn garden.

Not sure of their name TT.....this is at Normanby, they look to be a bit tall for the blue Carex, the ones I have are only a year old.....so maybe this is the height they could grow to. I'll ask the gardener there...:o)

What lovely colour contrast. I'm not usually too keen on the sedums but with the blue grass they look great.

Lovely border. Is the grass one of the Festuca grasses...perhaps a big big? not sure, but lovely anyway!

Heard from the gardener TT......no, its not Festuca...its Elymus magellanicus...she thinks..the nicest of the grasses...........
its Blue Wheat grass and grows to about 3ft high with straw coloured flowers........:o)
