I like the Whistling Ducks as well but all are nice Dawn. I'll post a pick of the Whistlers and not his mother if I can find it.

Yes Dawn although we saw her in the garden last night. We have been leaving her bed, water and food in the shed which she has been coming back for.

I have posted one pic of the Whistlers Dawn. I agree that the Mandarins and the Mallards are also beautiful but so many are so we shouldn't pic only one or two.

I didn't hear their voices but they are such lovely little creatures aren't they.

HOw cute......We have the river down the road but the ducklings must get taken by predators as they aren't there for long. It's such a shame.

The good mama ducks keep their babies well hidden...the eagles get them here when the mama's do not do that..I have seen it happen, it is a hard lesson for the mom ducks..if they survive it..but that is hopefully a lesson they remember, I do love seeing them Toto..they are quite lovely...

That is a great picture, just love it when the first baby ducklings appear, we have a Goose who is known as Gary he is the gaurdian of all the ducks on the canal and really takes them all under his wing even the orphaned one will post a pictutre for you in the new season '0))
