We have catkins too Dawn, must be something to do with the weather, they think it's the SPring coming.

They planted yews on boundaries of churchyards and on large estates. Goldcrests like living in yew trees.

That's good to know Linda. I saw goldcrests in our garden for the first time last winter - hoping around in my corsican pines :-)
