They say Meow back to Casper Sandra :-)
They are lovely, I am pleased with them, they are 16 weeks old.
Janey: Well spotted, you can tel the difference. Unlike us, we thought originally we had 2 girls until we got them home and took a closer look, ha ha. They are brother and sister but Ronnie is alot bigger than Roxy and alot greedier.
3 Feb, 2010
Beautiful. They will keep you busy for a few years.

3 Feb, 2010
You'll need his credit card, that's for sure.
3 Feb, 2010
Yes, double trouble for sure. Roxy was watching a leaf outside, bless. They're not going outside until they've had their injections and their bits chopped, ouch.
3 Feb, 2010

Hello Everyone, I'm so pleased you all approve. They've helped me come to terms with Jess's loss so much. I had a sympathy card from the vets today, with lovely words from Nadine the vet that has cared for Jess over the years and it was personally signed by the nurses. Nadine told me she cried too when she knew Jess had been put to sleep.
Kathy: Ronnie's much bigger than Roxy and has a bigger face.
Janey: Just moggies, not Burmese. The vet said they are dark brown rather than black as they clean each other all the time - something in their saliva.
Yes, they are into everything as you can imagine.
6 Feb, 2010
so glad they have helped you dawn, im the same with casper but i still keep getting a bit tearfull when i think about angelina, think she would have liked casper though ;o)) and i think jess would approve to x
6 Feb, 2010

6 Feb, 2010
They are so lovely, my old black cat Dunkel wasn't really black when the sun shone on her, her name is supposed to mean dark in German. She lived just over 20 years:-)
7 Feb, 2010
Hello Bornagain, I'm glad you like them. You must really miss Dunkel and what a great age she reached. x
8 Feb, 2010
20 years is a great age isnt it, dawn how are the kitties doing, are they going on their trays ok, bet your having lots of fun ;o))
8 Feb, 2010
20 years is just brilliant. Amy's Marmy is 20 :-)
Hi Sandra, the kittens are great thanks, I hope Casper is OK too. At the moment Roxy is lying next to John and Ronnie is hiding somewhere? They're content and eating like crazy. Yes, they were litter trayed and never any accidents, so much easier than puppy dogs.
8 Feb, 2010
glad all is ok and yes casper great to thanx dawn, much easier than puppy dogs lol
8 Feb, 2010
That's good Sandra, yep alot easier than puppy dogs but they are beautiful too
8 Feb, 2010
casper was just playing with joe`s wash basket, its a pringy one, as he tried to squash it, it suddenly sprung back up and scared him half to death lol
8 Feb, 2010
ha ha Sandra, funny arent they. Has he had to adapt to new noises, our kittens have but not jumpy at all now.
10 Feb, 2010
yes he does jump up quick when he hears something, lol, not well today dawn, he had his second jab yesterday and also on the way to vet he had an accident in his carrier, made it worse cause i couldnt find the vets i had to visit, had to stop and clean the carrier out and casper was so upset and by the time we found the place and he saw the vet he was very stressed out, i was crying and upset to, since that he has just slept, i rang and they said he should be alot better tomoz, i do hope so, i wish i had just gone to my own vet but santuary wanted me to finish treatment at the same vet, never again dawn, i managed to get him to eat some fresh cooked turkey we had for dinner, not alot but at least he ate something.
10 Feb, 2010
Hi Sandra, so sorry he's been upset. He must have been frightened of going in the basket to the vets. When Jess was younger, she would 'wet' herself on the way, such a shame when they are frightened. Our kittens were very tired and just slept after their first injection, I'm sure he'll be OK tomorrow and you can register him at your own vet's for his next visit. Oh dear Sandra, the worry starts, lol. Hope you're OK and not too upset now. x
10 Feb, 2010
hi dawn im going dizzy here lol,he is downstairs in front of the fire now so hope he is alot better tomoz, the vet said as long as he isnt sick or doesnt have diorea he should be ok, poor little man, he looks so fed up
10 Feb, 2010
If only we could tell them its all for their wellbeing, sigh xxx
10 Feb, 2010
yes i wish he could understand, xx
10 Feb, 2010
Our old cat used to yowl all the way to the vets, she hated the car:-)
11 Feb, 2010
Glad Ronnie and Roxy are settling in well Dawn, Aaah poor Casper hope he's feeling better today Sandra, Symba hates the vets went so many times when he was little won't come out his carrier, the vet has to pull the cover out with him on, had a really bad reaction to his booster jab a couple of years ago has to have a special one now, ended up with a high temperature and wondering around wowing like he didn't know where he was, so had to go back for another jab poor thing, vet said it was probably due to the liver problem he had as a kitten, don't know what damage its done, although he's had his booster before and been fine.
11 Feb, 2010
This pets are such a worry.
13 Feb, 2010
casper is good now, today he actually wanted to play, thankfully, eating again to :o))
13 Feb, 2010
What a relief Sandra, I'm so pleased he's OK now :-)
13 Feb, 2010
cheers dawn how are the little raskels doing , bet they are full of it arent they :o))
14 Feb, 2010
Yes, running around still. It sounded like a herd of elephants running up and down stairs and across the landing this morning, after a while I checked on them and they were in the bathroom, one was in the bath and the other in the wash basin.
14 Feb, 2010
lol dawn, they come to life in the night when we try to sleep dont they, casper runs round chasing his mouse lol
14 Feb, 2010
That's right Sandra, they come to life when we're ready for bed. Is Casper OK.
14 Feb, 2010
casper if fine dawn and wanting to venture outside, maybe another week and i will give it a go when i can be here all day and watch him and wait if neccasary ;o)
14 Feb, 2010
I'm pleased to hear he's OK Sandra. Its only natural they want t go out, I'll be worried to death when ours go out. I think I'll wait until its a nice day and I can be outside with them while I'm pottering.
14 Feb, 2010
yes im going to do the same dawn, sorry late answering just helping joe with something :o))
14 Feb, 2010
Lol Dawn Symba's having his mad half hour now stampeding around upstairs, he's an indoor cat doesn't go out its never bothered him, sometimes in the summer if the doors open he'll come out but any sudden noise and he's back inside, some people may think its a bit cruel but its what he's used to, he couldn't go out when he was a kitten because he was so ill, he's happy and we play with him a lot.
14 Feb, 2010
i dont think its cruel simbad its what he is use to and being timid, like you say he can go out when your out, i was like that with angelina, casper is differaent and already wants to go out but being a stray i cant for at least another two weeks so he doesnt get lost and stray again,
15 Feb, 2010
Hi Kathy, I can just picture Symba running around, lol.
You give him the option of going out, so its not cruel, if he's not interested that's fine :-)
I think our 2 are itching to get out, they keep going to the back door and smelling Bonnie when she's been out and looking out of the window - I'm dreading it, because of the road.
15 Feb, 2010
is the road at the front dawn, im going to let casper out the back so he wont hopefully venture to the road side, you have alot of garden at the back so should be ok shouldnt they
15 Feb, 2010
Yes the road's at the front Sandra and the back is just fields but all our cats have wanted to cross the road for some strange reason. I'll try and keep them at the back but you know what cats are like.
15 Feb, 2010
yes they are so nosey and have to check everything, casper just knocked my rose off the fire surround, came in and its on the floor, glad it wasnt one of my expensive figures,
16 Feb, 2010
Ours are showing an interest in my seeds that are in my electric window sill progagator, if they knock that over I wont be pleased :-( Just curious, arent they. Hope Casper's OK today Sandra
16 Feb, 2010
casper is great and still wanting to go out but i spoke with a lady at santuary and she said another two weeks as he may stray and not find his way home, so will do as im told, hope the kitties stear clear of your seeds dawn,
16 Feb, 2010
We have a road on all sides so glad Symba doesn't show an interest in going out, must be such a worry, although could have done with him in the greenhouse today, something had chewed all the leaves off my four phormium plants I'd grown from seed, three year old plants too so quite large, today I saw the culprit while i was pricking out some seedlings, well one of them sure there'll be more, one extremely fat mouse, suppose at least it wasn't a rat, I wouldn't have hung around then, lol.
Oh dear Dawn hope your seeds survive, sowed some more in my propagator last week and quite excited today as they've started germinating.
16 Feb, 2010
no wonder he is fat simbad eating your plants, poor you, wonder how they get in, guess when your not looking lol can you put something over them to protect
16 Feb, 2010
Think they are tunneling in Sanbaz found a couple of holes, don't seem to care if I'm looking, lol, well that one didn't today, mmm have to think what I could cover them with although it only seems to be the phormiums they've had a go at, and not much left of them now grrr, don't know if they'll regrow.
16 Feb, 2010
they might still grow simbad, quite tough plants even after all this weather i just take off all dead leaves and soon pick up again
16 Feb, 2010
Fingers crossed Sanbaz :-)
16 Feb, 2010
Sandra: Oh no, Casper has to stay in for another 2 weeks :-( The sanctuary know best though.
Gardening is never straight forward is it, poor you Kathy, so annoying, It will be slugs and snails wrecking things soon :-(
I've put some more seeds in my propagator too Kathy, brilliant arent they, that bit of heat at their feet must do the trick. I'm going to get one or two of those cutting trays from Aldi tomorrow - for £2.99 I think its good value - those 40 small pots will be ideal for potting on.
17 Feb, 2010
Have to have a look myself Dawn that sounds a bargain, out of small pots already, even used all my yogurt cartons I washed and saved, can't eat them quick enough, lol, which seeds have you been sowing now? My felicia fillifolia I swapped several years ago (and forgot about) have started to germinate today and a couple of gaura from my own seed, exciting :-)
18 Feb, 2010
Hi Kathy, I got the cutting tray with the x40 pots today - lovely little pots, a bit smaller than a yoghurt pot, lol. In the propagator I have the gunnera :-), my own purple loosestrife - a few coming through, primula florindae - which I got from Plant World, they're doing well, primula veris - no sign yet and your Lobelia Tupa - just one up and Scotch thistle - just one up and some lavendar etc. etc. Going to set some more tomorrow :-)
