Brilliant picture !
What have you put the suet feed in, Gee ?

great shot Gee, well done you ;o))

The suet feed is pushed down into a toilet roll middle, Louise, and then cut into three when firm! I copied this idea from someone else on GoY who made rings - I am desperately trying to remember who it was :)

Stunning, beautiful photos Gill. I had an experience with a couple of these fellas last week, in my back garden. I'd just hung up some new fatballs and stepped back off the border, when two of these birds landed on the feeder. They were 3 feet from my face and I didn't dare move a muscle - I stood there in awe for about 3 minutes until they left. You never forget moments like that, do you ? :-))

They are so tiny, it must be so hard to survive this winter. We were in a friend's car, and broke down on a remote country road in Wiltshire. A large flock of long tailed tits were near us, feeding in the woods. It broke up the tedium of waiting. We went home in the breakdown cab. An eventful day!

I've only ever had a couple visit the garden but there are larger groups up in the woods. First time I saw them I was so excited I forgot all about the camera!

Glad the tits entertained you,Dorjac - better than breaking down in a traffic jam :)

good one Gee..got them in the garden every day..they are so brilliant to watch

They have fleetingly visited our garden a few times but only stay a very short time Gee. They give us a quick once over and away. I spoke too soon..... as plumptious Calico cat was back....in the rain.....sitting ON the orange peel. I have some squeezed lemon segments to put on her bird watching hideout. That will keep her off for a few minutes.
