Great picture Amy they are such handsome birds, see them occasionally but like Hywel not ar often as when we lived at the cottage, see them here in Spring for the cherry blossom and in Autumn for the Rowan berries!

I feel very lucky to have these lovely birds , I make seed cakes up for them Angela in trays .. we buy huge sacks of sunflower seed from a farmer who grows them for bird food and wheat I mix it with other small grains ,peanuts and porridge oats whatever I can get hold of , melt some lard and then mix it all in and then let it set in the fridge .. . they love it , I have to make more almost every day ...........

No wonder they love you and your garden.......
