Ours have been terrible too Carol - last year wasnt as wet but not much sunshine. 2007 was just awful.
21 Feb, 2010
Thanks , it would be lovely to have some warm light evenings to be outside ...we do deserve a good hot summer after all this .... fingers crossed ,, :-)
21 Feb, 2010
So we both deserve a decent summer this time, you know i'm alot older than you, but i remember most winters was like this when i was little, but we had really lovely summers, we dont really get 4 seasons anymore do we either...
21 Feb, 2010
Yes Carole , I remember when we had snow every winter it use to pile up in drifts , do you remember the little bottles of milk at school ? they use to be frozen solid ... and those hot summers in the school holidays , following the combines round with a stick with a bobble on the end hoping to catch a rabbit , we never did , all we got was our legs scratches to bits on the stubble ..LOL.. are we remembering just the good days ??
21 Feb, 2010
Can remember the bottles of milk, but living in a town never did what you did, but always had scratches and no skin on my knees and elbows, To be honest i dont think we did to bad, my mum and dad always took us on holiday every year, always had food on the table, and the toys we had at xmas we really looked forward to them instead of taking everything for granted like they do today.plus i really enjoyed my teanage years, in and out of coffee bars at night, saturday night was the big nights when we always went to the tower for a brill night out. Better shut up now.x
21 Feb, 2010
LOL.. I know what you mean Carole , thats when saturday night out dancing was a proper night out wasn't it .. .. dressed to kill , you didn't have to get drunk to enjoy it either !

Wow! bullfinches, pheasants, white doves...... How do you do it Amy? I'm sooooo envious. No bird comes near our garden thanks to Felix and Millie!
28 Feb, 2010
Thanks Skillen , they don't seem to be at all frightened of us , our cat is very old , it's funny to watch when she goes outside she can walk right through the birds and they totally ignore her , they know she couldn't catch them ... .. they will stay out of the way of your Felix and Millie , I don't blame them .LOL...
