Iris reticulata "George"

Thought they were never going to bloom, Yorkshire.

We planted these bulbs in a container In October 2008 for our "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory" garden theme last year (Grandpa George). Also fits in with our new "pirates" theme quite well, as George is the forename of Mr Darling, in "Peter Pan". :-))

Lovely colour, David. I like I. reticulata. Many years ago I had some growing in my garden. Don't what happened to them after I moved away.

I had some, too, in a pot, 10 years ago, Balcony. Don't know what happened to them, or the pot. :-(

I'll have to get a few bulbs for next autumn & put the in a pot with the Crocuses that are flowering so wonderfully on my balcony railings. Perhaps I should get a few Snowdrops as well. My mini-daffs are just about to start flowering, one plant has a flower that is showing some colour. If the weather keeps sunny it'll be open this week.
