I admit to buying this plant yesterday for my shady bed. I do have another one similar, which is just appearing now.

My problem too, Daisy - it even seeded itself, then I lost the lot!

Why didn't you, Pam?
I try hard not to disturb the other purply - blue one I have - 'Pere David', but I agree - it's hard,

Ah, clearly the lovely west somerset climate is at work here! mine are nowhere near flowering! Love them! Because it is so much cooler here, they take a lot longer to disappear so not so difficult to keep. I grow them right at the front of the border as well, so I know to be careful around there.

I hate seeing little white seed markers all over the garden, so I might try something else to mark the places of summer dormant plants & bulbs etc.

Some people paint the names on pebbles and put the pebbles in the beds upside down so they just look natural.

Interesting, Wagger. The only problem there is Henry - he loves stones, and pinches them - then he runs off with them....all the plant names would get muddled up! lol.

You'll have to stick to a plan then, LOL.

Hmm... I'll have to have a think....

I like the stone idea, that's a great idea....if you don't have a daft dog!
8 Mar, 2010
Think I'd rather have the daft dog and mislay a few plants, LOL.
8 Mar, 2010
He is a daft dog - but he's got a daft owner, too! LOL.
8 Mar, 2010
LOL

You`ve given me an idea for my own shady border Spritz, it looks really pretty. :o)

Glad you like it!

mmm I wonder where you've been shopping, I got this last week :D
9 Mar, 2010
I wonder............good there, isn't it! :-)))
9 Mar, 2010
No, no! I meant MY dog is daft! lol! Your dog is beautiful!
9 Mar, 2010
He's still daft, Karen! LOL. Not all the time, though. ;-)))
I've taught him to bring me his brush since yesterday - I was well chuffed! :-))))
9 Mar, 2010
You'll be entering competitions with Conker and Terratoonie soon!
9 Mar, 2010
No - I don't think so, Wagger. I just think sometimes that we're not challenging him enough - when you think what a lot of Labs are trained to do, fetching his brush is a minor thing, really.

:))) it most certainly is, I need a revisit soon, but it's over 100mile round trip :(
10 Mar, 2010
Like me from here, then. Still worth it, though....I'm taking Louise with me when the spring comes!
10 Mar, 2010
I'll be taking mum over too, .....enjoy :)
11 Mar, 2010
I reckon she'll love it, don't you?
11 Mar, 2010
:) most definately, especially the greenhouses, what a choice wow!
12 Mar, 2010
It's all a 'wow' place to me!
12 Mar, 2010
very true, it was easy to spend all my money that's for sure LOL

The times we have bought this plant only to lose it, as it dies down in the summer, I forget about it and that is how it happens....it is such a pretty plant too.
