Give them time Sandra, as one of mine doing really well , the other is only poking its nose out.

Where are you going to put the veggie patch lol

14 Apr, 2010

Looks great Sandra. Greening up all over. :-) The delphinium should be fine, just coming in later than the spring things. They are our city flower here because they are so reliable to cold, everyone has at least one. Out of all years for them to do well, I'd expect this one to be a good one with the unusual cold you've had.

Hi San, Your garden looks lovely and tidy I agree a tree would look nice something like Prunus amanogawa (Japanese Cherry) could work it's a columnar tree so would not take up to much room, although it can get up to about 35 ft tall ! and it has semi double pink fragrant flowers.

18 Apr, 2010

thanx sue, sounds lovely very tall, can you keep it cut to a bit smaller size ;o)

18 Apr, 2010

You could but it would take about 10 years to get to that size :0)

18 Apr, 2010

Ooops hit the button to soon! I have Prunus Avium Plena in my garden it's 5 years old and has reached 15 feet tall with a spread of about 10 feet it's just blooming. I don't want it to grow much bigger so I am going to get OH to prune it this year I will put a photo on tomorrow for you. to give you an Idea of size, my garden is 40ft x40ft and the tree look just about right for my garden.

18 Apr, 2010

thanx sue i will take a look, our garden is about 60ft long and about 30 wide i think lol
