So this is what they are supposed to look like.....I tried my hand at them last year and they croaked on me..., so I'll just admire yours.

Aww sorry to hear that Flc...by the way the nigella you sent us last year have self seeded and are popping up all over again this year ! x
28 Jul, 2010
Glad to hear they're doing great ! I just hope they don't start spreading to the point where you're cussing me under your breath...lol
29 Jul, 2010
Aw no ..we have plenty of weeds that do that so these are welcome wherever they choose to spread.
31 Jul, 2010
Whew..., that's a relief..:-)
31 Jul, 2010
Amazing that they self seeded a long way from original planting...little jewels popping up all over the place..lovely....

Ahhh...., the magic of run-off rain water. Don't you just love it. I rarely get enough rain to see that kind of magic in my garden...:-(
31 Jul, 2010
Not had much rain for some time now Flower..even had a few moorland fires.Other areas getting plenty to keep England green.
31 Jul, 2010
Sounds like you are unfortunately having a summer like mine. Seems like all I get done anymore is dragging those darn garden hoses around in the yard.
Hope no one lost their homes...
31 Jul, 2010
Our driest for many years after that long winter fortunately area quite remote and a National park so buildings few and far between. Its mainly heather and gorse and it smoulders rather than blazes like some of the fires you have in US speed of those truly scary.
31 Jul, 2010
I hate to hear of anything being lost to fire, but glad to hear there were no lost lives and homes. To lose everything you have in the blink of an eye is devastating, and scarey as you said.
31 Jul, 2010
So long as family safe things can be replaced ..expect you ll be glad to spend some time in your garden after all that work in your home.Looking forward to seeing some pics soon ..
31 Jul, 2010
Wood siding goes up next, once it's done, I will be glad to bore you with a few pics of the mess we've created via e-mail soon....;-)
2 Aug, 2010
Looking forward to seeing the results .. sure I m not the only one so now you ve nearly finished you can get the real hard work done and perhaps write another blog ? Yeah I know ..no need to thank me ..x
2 Aug, 2010
LMOA.....!!!!! You really know how to push my buttons don't you...!
2 Aug, 2010
I m sure there s a US term for it but you far too polite to say ..so you find it easier to renovate your home than write a blog lol how bad am I ?
2 Aug, 2010
You're as bad as it gets... lol, that's why I couldn't stay away...;-)
2 Aug, 2010
Yep Jane nodding here ..poor Roger beginning to see what he has to put up with .. you trying to renovate the house during our sport season , then theres the garden the shopping the cleaning .. yes I do that too shes totally spoilt cook her meals ..she burns water but hey do I complain? Hell yes I m a Brit.
2 Aug, 2010
Lol, lord, but you're a mess Bonkers. Bless you Jane and your patience !...lol
3 Aug, 2010
Yep and my therapy costs a fortune ..Jane has fantastic patience think the restraining order a little excessive though .
3 Aug, 2010
Sounds like Jane's not only patient ,she also very intellegent ..lol (just kidding around ole friend, I couldn't resist the temptaion).
Afraid I have to get my therapy in the garden Bonkers, but then I'm not the one who can afford three full grown jap. maple trees either...lol (oops.., there I go again !)...;-)
4 Aug, 2010
