I get my poppies from lots of places Yorks. Most of the garden centres around here sell them, but I got my first ones from Glendoick Garden Centre in Perthshire.

That's why I keep putting them on DD because so many people have said they can't grow them and everyone deserves to see them, they are so lovely! ;)

Beautiful Karen, I grew these from seed many years ago (very fiddley) They grew beautifully, flowered beautifully in shade, then vanished:-( Must try again:-)

I'm never sure about them BA, some are biennial and some are perennial (short lived) and some will spread beautifully...never sure which ones, and I think it might depend on their growing conditions as well. Hope you do try again and have better success this time! :)

Oooooo! Must have some, they are lovely, I have seen some seeds for sale on E-Bay or maybe I will keep my eye out in people's gardens LOL

They are stunning KarenSusan , I think these are the seedlings I have raised from seeds Amy sent me, would you look at my picture and let me know if the leaves are similar thanks" Hopefully a Blue Poppy", its of the leaves of the seedling I am hoping is a blue Poppy;0)
