Pleased you like it Clarice and Dd........he did this Amy while I was away....house not quite finished, but getting there...Ian is busy in the garage....I took him a coffee, and where there had been a window was a door!! He has plans....Lol!

LOL... gosh what is he doing ? I have to admit that I did that once in one of our houses , we had a very long kitchen you had to go through the hall through the sitting room to reach the dining room .. it occured to me one day that if there was a door at the end of the kitchen I could go straight into the dining room .. by the time Tony came home there was a huge hole through the wall roughly door shaped , I thought he was going to collapse , luckily he thought it was a good idea and finished it off for me ..... ;o)

Oh Amy.....how brave you were to tackle that!! Where there's a will there's a way
I can just picture you with a sledge hammer saying "I've changed my mind!" Lol!
Sounds like it was a very good idea...and what a story to tell everyone who came for dinner.....:o)
What this space for the garage transformation.............

Yes..I hope that the sunshine puts in an appearance, so that you can appreciate this great spot! Is that Lady's mantel? All looks wonderful, and the garden bench looks like an outstanding quality!

I hope so too Waheeda....not today though...still cold and grey...:o(( I see you are in Austria....how are the grape vines coming along, is there plenty of sun and rain? we are really pleased with the bench, Ian did a really good job on it. The yellow plants there are Corydalis lutea and the feathery shrub further up the garden is Sambucus Sutherlands's gold....one of my very favourite garden plants, it has white flowers in the spring with red berries in the autumn too.

We have too much rain, heavey winds and hardly any sunshine...believe it or not! My entire garden is suffering, the clay soil is clogged badly due to high rainfall,my roses have rust...The grape vines are not affected right now, its too early, but I've lost lots of apricots, and I do believe that the harvest will not be all that spectacular this year! So local prices will escalate..sadly.But on a more positive note...I do admire your yellow plants and may get some of my own...thanks for the info! you have a wonderful setup!

Lovely photo composition - your garden looks lovely Janey & in full bloom. Ours was really nice in June with all the sun, but has been battered over the last week with torrential rain.
