They can travel a bit. They are sidling sideways in my garden. I first saw them in the dry garden at Beth Chatto's garden, soon after it was started. They were so large and tall . They have a very faint, sweet perfume. When they get to a certain point they turn upwards and look a bit like Disney Castles. Then set their seeds. Don't worry about winter Janette......if they like your garden they will flourish!!! I let them fight it out at the Allium end of my border with a jungle of allsorts. They bob up here and there but not taking over so far.

I have had these for years Janette and they have never caused any bother....They came through last winter unscathed......so i reckon they can stand up to any-thing....:>)

Hi Janette. Went to Beth Chattos garden yesterday, Perfect weather. The allium Disney castles are still there in profusion in the dry garden. More upstanding and professional looking than my ones, that loll about a bit. Another plant I first saw there was Verbena Bonariensis just beginning to take off now.
