Thanks Sixpence we have a feral kitten that began visiting in the depths of winter so small and weak in all that snow couldn t turn it away .. so left out food for it and now he / she visits too for evening snack doesnt wildlife have a way of rewarding you for a small bit of kindness ?

Yes Sandra did you see Springwatch ? they said that cold winters are better for hibernating animals as they wake and venture out in milder ones when little food available .. its better for them to sleep through it apparently.
Working his way down to you then Clarice ? Once he finds you he ll soon know when he s well off.
Aye Sixpence quite funny to see it hiss at me then tuck in lol

Thanks Eileen.
Think they re pretty nomadic Sandra and shuffle round quite wide territories we loved seeing ducklings but knew we would only see them for a couple of days before moving on ..we just enjoy the visit no matter how brief.
Ha ha sixpence heard of spit the dog but spit the squirrel ?

I disturbed it 3 times while it was pinching the birds food so it jumped into the large Rowan Tree and climbed up towards the top, looked down at me so I looked back and it spat twice at me little b...er

Ali is very jealous as she would love these in the garden!!

They do tend to like things undisturbed the garden was so neglected tyres old chairs etc thrown in long grass I m banned from bonfires of course so they ve had plenty of time to find a perfect corner.
Our hostas dont have a mark on either ..
