Words to a lonely tomato

A seed was lovingly planted
and from that seed grew a plant
The plant was a latecomer
and threw one fruit.

WIth a flush it blushed
and a hand gently caressed it.
It was placed in a sea of blue
then a mouth hastily ate it

and sadly it was no more.

I bet it's the only tomato to have an ode written to it, Lindak, gave me a good laugh.
