Thanks all , funny thing is this has flowered before the parent plant that I took the cutting off .......

It must like it where it is Amy. I intended to follow your advice on clematis cuttings, this month but didnt really have enough good stems to take them from, but there's always next year.

Thanks girls , it looks happy where it is Dawn it has some more buds coming ..... I feel protective of my cuttings Janey I feel that I have given them a life which I suppose we have , I am always going round checking on them If I lose one I feel quite sad :o(
