I'v got a Sissex Big Shot, bit pricey but you can use most makes of dye's with it.

Not used die cutter, I make all my own cards also, use my friends cuttlebug thats good, but very expensive, those cards are lovely, I have just made 28 but lots more to make yet.

Funny you should say that Yorkshire as a lady my daughter works with recommended the cuttlebug, also a local craft shop has a really good deal on at the moment with lots of free extras, must go and look.

£59.95 is the cheapest cuttlebug I have seen so far, then all the plates are extra, hope you have luck at your local craft shop, will put some cards on this afternoon for you.

Yes thats the cheapest I've seen it too Yorkshire, is my birthday near christmas too:-), yes the one at the craft shop has some free plates too, so sounds quite good as know they're fairly expensive too, off in this weekend to have a look.

let me know if you get the cuttlebug, most of the plates are really nice, my friend has about 40, shares with her Mum who is 85 and still teaching crafts, card making.

I will do Yorkshire, crikey 85 hope I'm still able to do my crafting at that age, have to have a magnifying light now for my cross stitch and I'm only 47.

I'm on a walking stick and I am only 64, my friends Mum holds craft lessons every thursday afternoon. I think its wonderful. your just a baby Simbad. not much older than my daughter

Well done all of you for making cards and they are so lovely in the picture. I had a couple of years of making them, but I gave it up after a while. It's lovely to be able to make something special though for your family and friends. I used to keep all cards that came through our door and cut bits from them to make other cards with. A good way of recycling.

Crikey she does do well Yorkshire, we have an old gentleman on the allotments at the bottom of the garden, 90 years old an he's on his allotment every day except christmas day, frisky monkey too, keeps asking me to go for a drink in his shed,lol, think he's harmless.
Our local craft shop has cardmaking days now and again, must book one, apparently its only £5 with tea and a cream cake and a free rubber stamp.
Thanks Lindak, I used to do that when the kids were little, they liked to help, make gift tags from old christmas cards.

had to laugh about the old man, you want to keep out of that shed no telling what could happen, don't want you taking trouble home, if you know what I mean, brilliant though that he keeps gardening at that age,the £5 sounds o,k, you might just enjoy it for an afternoon, think we will have to work on Lindak to start making cards again, freezing cold here today, no gardening for us, remember, KEEP OUT OF THE SHED,

Don't know if you do teabag folding Yorkshire but the local craft shop I was telling you about has a website with free papers to download, quite enjoy it myself, very relaxing.

I think that I had a go at thet. Is it where you cut out triangles and then fold them in and stick them in a round to create flowers and shapes.

Thats the one Lindak, loads of sites were you can download papers free, always googling :-), found a good one yesterday, looking for a bit of inspiration for christmas cards,I printed out papers and stencils,really liked one that had instructions that you could print for the front of the card on how to grow a snowman,lol, had a little seed packet, great. www.madaboutcards.com/section.php/1474/1
Just made a new baby card for a friend using iris folding, have you done that?, another that you can easily find free stencils to download, like to try them all, do a bit of quilling too.

Quilling sounds familiar, must have done that.
