Lovely picture DD, well caught, we had one in the garden the other day too in broad daylight, bit scruffier looking than yours though, know we have a couple as seen them early evening time and heard them in the middle of the night in summer calling their cubs, quite a scary sound.

I would love to see one that close , he's actually stopping to look at you , do you leave something out for him to eat or is it just a short cut to somewhere else ? ..

Seriously I think its fab.

Thanks Ladies, Amy I never feed them, I do not believe in it (my Father would turn in his grave, me being a farmers daughter lol) he was looking at me taking the photograph from the garden room.
Val thanks very much, I was amazed it turned out so clear as it was taken through the glass.
Simbad this is a very young fox, and obviously well fed.....
San have seen more foxes here than when we lived in the country lol
Thanks Janey, I am not frightened of them, more scared of spiders!!

lovely photo, fearless are foxes, we had one with just three legs, use to stand and watch me whilst I was on the computer, the RSPCA came about a month ago and asked if they could look in the garden as someone reported the fox being hit by a car and its only back leg was damaged, they didn't find it but said it had probally gone into a garden and died, poor thing, funny we do miss it, but we never did feed it,

Such a healthy looking Fox ... unlike the ones I've seen around this area ... very scruffy and thin!

Dottydaisy2:
Aren't they mean? We have them here too...they are mean!
We have lots more coyotes, mountain lions and bob cats than foxes.

Annella thanks, Yorkshire they are beautiful to look at, I think this one is living on wood pigeons going by the amount of feathers we keep finding.......Shirley it is a young one.
Delonix I would rather have the fox than a coyote or a lion in our back garden thanks!!
Cristina when we kept bantams the fox had the lot....just took the heads off!! you are lucky then to be fox free in your area, I do believe the fox population have all moved in to the towns now lol

Thanks Karen, Pip, Deida, Mot that was a very nasty business, most unusual for a fox to do that sort of thing. Lab it does the same thing up the garden and over the wall..........
Cristina I am glad you got them mink are a real problem now. San you are right it is sad they have to scavenge around the towns and cities now.
