Yes I seem to remember many more tall conifers, or are they in another part. I really miss the feeling of space, we had in our last garden, and you have a lovely outlook at the back too!

All the larger conifers and other plants were taken out..gone! ..not re planted anywhere else, although I did move one or two around within the bed.

Never really satisfied the way some plantings develop over the long term Jane, and this particular bed was one of them. Add the fact that the garden is more or less full! and that I probably receive new material from other collectors for over a hundred different new plants on average every year...choices have to be made on what stays and what goes to accommodate them, and sometimes clearing a whole bed and starting again is the best option

this is going to look really terrific when they grow a bit. SOmetimes the garden is like a patchwork quilt and a part of the quilt gets worn so has to be removed and another bit gets replaced.
